At the York River Inn in Yorktown, Virginia, we are pleased to offer the following amenities which are provided in all three of our guest rooms. Each room accommodates two adults. One room can be configured to accommodate two persons traveling together who prefer not to sleep together. If there is anything else you need during your stay, please just ask us.
Virginia and American flags are the backdrop for these purely Virginia treats–sweet potato muffins and pecan tarts.

The common area includes a sofa and comfortable chairs, where you can browse through piles of current magazines. The refrigerator is fully stocked for guests.
The innkeeper has a vast selection of Virginia books, maps and extensive materials on travel from all over the US and the world.
We love children, but my inn’s accommodations are not suitable for children as guests. |

There is plenty of space to relax in every room. Bill has provided books of all subjects in each room's large bookcase as well as many up-to-date magazines.

"We stayed in the Washington Suite. Very good accommodations. The room was well appointed with much Washington memorabilia. I spent half the night browsing the nice book collection both in the room and downstairs. We had a nice view of the river. Bill was very knowledgeable about the area."

Eight US presidents were born in Virginia, and artifacts related to seven of them are displayed in the Presidents' Room.

Pocahontas, Virginia's Indian princess, was born just across the York River. Original prints and books about her give this comfortable room its name.

The queen-sized bed, three chairs, large bathroom, and other amenties make this room comfortable for a short or long visit.

For your safety, the Inn has a hard-wired fire alarm system with battery-back-up. It also has a central CO monitor. At least one fire extinguisher is on every floor with two in some areas. The Inn is 5 miles from the closest fire station.
All interior and exterior stairs have substantial single or double handrails.
Generous parking is immediately adjacent to the Inn, and exterior lighting is more than adequate for your safety and comfort all hours of the day and night.
The Inn sidewalk is one step up from the parking lot. The front door of the Inn is 6 steps up from the sidewalk.
Please note: The guestrooms are all located on the second and third floors. They are accessed only by stairs. The bathrooms are not handicapped accessible or equipped.
The Virginia Department of Health requires an inspection of all bed and breakfasts annually. Since B&Bs generally operate out of "home" kitchens, prepare only breakfast, and serve small numbers of guests, the VDH does not require an inspection of a B&B’s kitchen. Individual B&Bs may request a "hotel" inspection which includes an intense inspection of the facility’s kitchen. Like most other Virginia B&Bs, York River Inn B&B does not opt for the "hotel" inspection.
